Excessive Sweating Treatment is a medical cosmetic treatment and is administered by highly experienced Cosmetic Doctors with over eighteen years experience in cosmetic treatments.
Excessive production of sweat, also known as Hyperhidrosis, is one of the most important ways in which the body loses heat. However, people with hyperhidrosis produce sweat in amounts far greater than needed to control their temperature. Excessive Sweating is treated effectively using an injectable protein called Botulinum Toxin, commonly known as Botox which reduces the production of sweat in the sweat glands.
A detailed consultation with our Doctor is essential prior to undergoingan anti-wrinkle treatment. During the consultation, your Doctor will discuss the desired improvements, options available and expected outcomes. During the treatment, the Toxin will be injected directly into the muscles that are responsible for sweating, using an ultra-fine needle. The treatment takes only a few minutes and no anesthesia is required.
Two weeks after the treatment, results should be visible Results generally last approximately 4 to 7 mmonths and clinical studies have shown that treatment benefits increase over time.
There is very little down time with this treatment. We recommend that you avoid swimming and saunas and exercise for at least 24 hours. A detailed aftercare sheet will be available after your treatment. The risk of side effects is minimal, however as with any injectable treatment some clients may experience mild localised bruising, redness or swelling at the injection site which should subside quickly.
